Unit 9

Making a tepee
If you want to see the process of how I made this you can find pictures in the gallery or in the first blog post of the year. Making this was fairly easy but there were a few things that needed adjusting, for example when I had cut all the pieces out and sewn them together I found the top was a little baggy so I had to add a pleat in the middle of each panel to get it to the tightness I wanted.

Costume task
I enjoyed doing this task although it was more for the year ones, my favourite has to be the 3rd which is a drag queen. If you read the first blog post of the year you can learn more about this task.

Sewing task
The sewing task was fairly easy, I'd done most of it before apart from the jean stich and adding the hook and eyes, although those have pretty much the same process as attaching the buttons. You can read more about this task in the year 2, week 2 and 3 blog posts.

Makeup task
The makeup tasks always feel easy but they are good practice. I think the makeup I do at college would be a lot better with the right brushes and products but a lot of the time I forget to take my own stuff in for it. You can read more about this in the year 2 blog posts 2,3 and 4.

Props task
The props task was a little difficult because the props shed is very messy so it was hard to find some things, like the real cutlery, I could only find the plastic stuff. Finding props for Rabbit wasn't too hard but some stuff had to be improvised. You can see more in the year 2 week 2 blog post.

Live sound workshop
This live sound workshop was actually very good, better than last years one as it was interactive and informative. I got to mic up a drum kit which I had never done before so that was something new. You can read more in the year 2 week 6 blog post.
