Week 18, 23rd - 25th March 2021

Tuesday 23rd: Updating websites again. I've been adding some more of my personal projects like my Bride of Frankenstein sculpt to try and show my skills more, I really like that sculpt but I think I need to improve the paint job on it as I don't think it suits it.

Wednesday 24th: I spent the whole day in the art room, which doesn't bother me at all. I was mainly focusing on making the tree stump I was asked to make, although I did paint my strawberries and mushrooms that I made the week before. I had made the basic structure of the tree stump at home with some wood and then brought it in to finish it, to make it look like a tree I covered the wood with cardboard as a base and then added further strips of cardboard to give it a bark effect, after that I mod rocked over it all.

Thursday 25th: For the beginning of the day we were doing written work, although I couldn't do much as the laptops at college don't work for me, so I went through the script of the show I'm on and picked out any set or props I might need then made a list and added any more stuff I think would be good to have. I then looked through the props shed to see what we already had and what I would either need to make or source from somewhere which was a useful thing to do to get an idea of the workload but also to know my limits when it came to designing a set. After that I was allowed to go back to the art room where I started to paint the tree stump, personally I think the paint I chose for the base colour is a bit to dark so I will have to go back over it with a better shade of brown. I also want to add some moss colouring and some leaves to the branch but that will have to be done next week.
