Week 20, 20th - 22nd April 2021

Tuesday 20th: Updating website and blog again, plus some written work.

Wednesday 21st: Started the day doing some set sketches, after that I was asked to help with making stuff for the grease show, which I was happy to do. I was specifically asked to help make the grills to go on the front of the car and the number plates, so I had to cut the right shape out of wood with the jigsaw then paint it appropriately. I wanted to make the rusted grill first as I thought it would be more interesting, I like the way it turned out but I think the rust might look better with a bit more orange in it.

Thursday 22nd: I spent the day making the new shiny version of the grill, I used a glue gun to make the lines on the rusted one to make it look old but for the new version I went for strips of foam to make it look different from the other one. I think both of them look good but I personally like the rusted one better as I think it has more character to it. I would have preferred to do work on my own show but I'm happy to help wherever I'm needed.

Target: Do a second layer of silver paint on the new grill to make it look more shiny.
