Week 25, 25th - 27th May 2021

Tuesday 25th: Updating websites, I added some behind the scenes pictures from the film I am currently helping with, I put the in the work experience page. I also did a bit more written work.

Wednesday 26th: I got the jukebox completely constructed, which was not as simple as I thought it would be as some of the bits of frame wood were a little wonky, plus the wood kept splitting for some reason so I had to adapt the design slightly to fit these new problems. I had to scrap the idea of the wooden arches at the top due to the splitting wood which meant I then had to use cardboard for the curved top since that wouldn't need support underneath, I did consider mod rocking the cardboard afterward but decided against it in the end as it would mean taking up time. The way that I got around the splitting wood problem was adding small extra bits to have more support, for that I just used off cut bits from when I was cutting the original parts for the frame. While I was doing the frame I had other classmates do some of the other tasks like dirty up the ashtrays and paint the edge of the pub sign.

Thursday 27th: I spent the morning cutting out the foam details out of the scrap foam we had left and some that I brought from home, and then covered the strips in the silver tape and glued them on. I also finished hot gluing the cardboard top curve onto the structure and pinned the front panel on. After I had done that we had to watch the dance show which was Romeo and Juliet, we had the option to go back to doing work after the interval but I stayed for the whole show as I thought it was a lot better than the Christmas dance show that I had seen, this one seemed to be more put together and thought out plus everyone's timing had definitely gotten better. The only bad thing I have to say about the show is that the sound was way too loud and the blackouts in between each dance were to long, I do understand they were for quick changes but I think the music could of at least gone on a little bit longer. When I got home I cut some bits of wood to create a bracket to hand the sign from.

Target: Finish the jukebox and get the sign hung up.
