-Tuesday 10th: We continued with our websites, I think there is still more that I can do to make it better, but I'm not quite sure what yet. I also made two more face masks after class as something useful to do, and to get more sewing practice.
-Wednesday 11th: We started the day with a snowman task in which we had to come up with a design and cost for a snowman that needed to be assembled on stage. My initial design would ultimately be a little dangerous so I had to change it slightly, originally I was suggesting wooden rods to attach each piece but I went for Velcro instead as that would be a lot safer. When we finished that we were tasked with watching 'Everybody's talking about Jamie' and to give a review on the show. Although the show was good I had a few issues with it and overall it wasn't really my type of show. After that we had an evaluation to determine what we can make at home for the practical lessons, as we are currently in isolation.
-Thursday 12th: In this session we did more of our Alice work, as I had done the rest of it already I just had to do the set design and the scale drawings for it. I also edited and finished my review for 'Everybody's talking about Jamie'.
-Target: The target for next week is to make my dragon as good as I can and make sure it is to scale or at least close to being scaled.
I feel like I have accomplished last weeks target at least a little bit as I had to scale my set design for my Alice work so now I have a little more practice for it.
-Tuesday 17th: I did some prep work for my dragon, like gluing wooden sticks together for the wings and making an armature of the dragons head and body out of wire and tinfoil, with a little bit of wood on the back to attach the wings to when they are done.
-Wednesday 18th: We had pretty much the whole day to do practical work, I was working on my dragon. I finished sculpting the head, apart from a couple spikes that would be added after the body is done, and did a mock up of the wing mechanics.
-Thursday 19th: We edited the sound effects that we recorded at college a while ago, I chose to edit the thunder and the heart beat. I was finding it a little difficult with what we had recorded, I found it much easier to create decent sounding effects when I recorded my own sound, but for the task we had to only use what was make at college. The sounds I ended up with aren't exactly great but I don't necessarily think they're terrible, I think the heart beat definitely sounds better than the thunder; which is okay other than the awful sounding lightning. When these are finished I will add them to my website next to the original to show the difference between the two. After that we got to continue with practical work or make some Christmas art, I did a little bit of both.
-Target: My target for next week is to finish making the wings for my dragon, attach them and sculpt the body. I don't expect the dragon to be finished but I at least want it be be at a point that can be painted the week after.
