Year 2: Week 2, 14th - 16th Sep 2021

Tuesday 14th: I didn't do as much as I hoped as I was struggling with some tech issues but we added our blog posts and then had our lesson with Kristen, in which we did some more guess the celebrity and work experience stuff. I had a celebrity ready to use that I thought no one would guess but I didn't end up saying it, just guessing for other people.

Wednesday 15th: I started the day doing patch tests for everyone to check if anyone was allergic to any of the products, and then I started doing the sewing task. It was just like the one we did last year in the sense that it was to see our skills, except we did more advanced stuff like a jean stich, pleats and hand sewing, which were easy enough but I will probably get a bit neater at doing them with practice. After that we did the makeup workshop in which we practice bruising, I helped a few other students with their technique and colour choices, because of that I didn't have time to do the black eye that the year 2's were supposed to do but that's okay as I can do it next week and I have done them before anyway. Once we were done with that we moved onto doing some stuff for Rabbit, I went through the script to find any prop and set stuff and then went to the garage find out if we had anything that fit the style. We got out some potential weapons and started thinking of ways to adapt them and get some set ideas.

Thursday 16th: We started with script work for the Ashgirl and did a mind map for the set and got some fabric to represent each different set to get an idea of which one we would want to do. I chose the palace as I thought it would have the most detail and be the most interesting to make. After that we had someone come in from Camberley theatre to talk to us about backstage life which was interesting. Then I started making the rabbit by drawing out a pattern to cut out, but I didn't get very far because we had a prop table task for the year 1's. Our team was first to finish which is good but there were a few things that could of been changed like the cutlery as it was plastic, but to be fair we couldn't find the metal ones, the props shed could do with being re organised.

Target: Finish the sewing task and continue with making the rabbit.
