Year 2: Week 3, 21st - 23rd Sep 2021

Tuesday 21st: Updating our websites and blogs. We didn't have Kristen's drama lesson as she had an emergency.

Wednesday 22nd: We started the day by finishing the sewing samples, the last things to be added on mine were the hook and eyes, buttons and my names embroidered on, which was easy enough as I have done embroidery before but it was a little difficult as we didn't use any hoops to hold the fabric tight. After that I started to construct the mock up rabbit, I used the pattern I made and cut out all the pieces, then I hand sewed everything together.

Thursday 23rd: The year 1's had to do a short test at the beginning of the day so all the year 2's made some props for rabbit until they were done. Once they were finished we did a makeup task, we had to do burns and scars with collodian which was good practice as I hadn't done scars in a while. After that we got back to doing some Ashgirl stuff, starting with some set designs and scaling, I chose to do my set design for the palace as I think it will be the most interesting to recreate in my model box, once we'd done a good amount of that we moved back onto rabbit again. Before that we had to fill out some surveys. I finished making the mock up rabbit, I filled it with some of the beans from a bean bag, although it wasn't very heavy so I think I might use sand for the real one. For the real one I will also probably machine sew it and leave the filling hole at the tail end as it was a little difficult fully filling it from the chin of it as the head didn't seem to want to fill.

Target: Get around to painting the walnut, start making the real rabbit.
